Ministerial Decree 2813/2024 (November 21, 2024) identifies the eight certifying bodies for foreign language communicative-linguistic skills for school staff. The list is valid for three years (2024/2027) and includes continuous monitoring to ensure requirements are maintained.

All certifications issued by the aforementioned bodies are valid for the recognition of language proficiency at the CLA Unime and are valid for at least three years from the date of issue (unless otherwise stated on the certificate).
Additional certifications recognized by CLA Unime
In addition to the certifications issued by bodies accredited by the MIUR, the CLA Unime also recognizes the following language certificates, provided they fall within the corresponding CEFR levels. These qualifications are not currently included in Ministerial Decree 2813/2024, but are considered equivalent based on previous regulations, past experience, and recognized international value:

Notes on requirements and validity
- MIUR-accredited certifications (M.D. 2813/2024) are valid for three years, unless otherwise stated on the individual certificate.
- Additional certifications (IELTS, Cambridge, IGCSE, Gatehouse, LanguageCert, etc.) are recognized by the CLA Unime provided they fall within the CEFR levels specified in the call for applications. Generally, IELTS and TOEFL iBT certificates are valid for 2 years.
- All certifications are issued by official bodies: always check the MIUR website (Accredited certifying bodies) for any updates or changes to the list.
- Any change to the official MIUR list results in the automatic exclusion of the certification's validity for the recognition of language proficiency.
