The University Language Centre (C.L.A.) of the University of Messina carries out educational activities aimed at developing, assessing, and certifying language skills, in support of study paths, international mobility, and the University internationalization processes.
The C.L.A.'s educational offer is primarily aimed at students of the University of Messina and includes language courses, assessment activities, and structured language services, delivered according to criteria of quality, trasparency, and consistency with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
Language teaching activities
The Centre's educational activities are diveded into several integrated areas:
- Language courses, particularly English and Italian for foreign students, designed based on the educational needs of the University and its Departments;
- International language certifications, with particular reference to the IELTS certification, for academic and professional purposes;
- Assessment of language skills, through tests and required linguistic suitability for Erasmus+ Studio mobility;
- Support for language learning, including through digital platforms and assisted study paths.
Methodology and teaching quality
Activities at the C.L.A. are based on updated methodologies and a student-oriented approach, focusing on the development of language skills and their application in academic and international contexts. Activities are designed and coordinated in collaboration with professors, language assistants, and linguistic experts, ensuring educational consistency and high-quality standards.
